Quietest pump, give me some recommendations

Thread Starter
I found this thread:
http://www.overclock.net/water-cooling/1053487-quietest-pump-money-no-obstacle.html
I see people recommending the D5 but I am having a hard time finding it, can someone give me some links?
Right now I had my mind set on the MCP35X. I am really looking for a dead silent pump, which would you get? 35X vs D5 vs others (recommend one).

Well the D5 seems to be a customization of Swiftech 655.(http://www.swiftech.com/MCP655-B.aspx) I have no idea why it seems every company has come out with their version of the swiftech lol

Here is a place to get the 655 and many other pumps. http://www.performance-pcs.com/catalog/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=59_201&products_id=28303

I use this pump and when there is no air in the loop..unless you put your ear up near the case..you can hear a quiet hummmmm

Its the Liang D5. It is renamed like the Swiftech MCP655. Companies use the same one but name it differently.

I have DCP-4.0, MCP350, MCP35X, MCP655-B, MCP655 and an Aquastream XT Ultra. In my opinion Aquastream is the quietest out of those ones.

The MCP655 is quiet. When mounted properly (i.e. on something to absorb vibrations) the MCP350 and the 35X (when turned to a lower RPM) are also fairly quiet.

Thanks guys, I have an off topic question. What is bleeding the loop mean? Getting the air out of the rad/pump/tubing? How is this done?

Yes. If you have a reservoir it happens naturally as the water circulates for the most part.

Oh, and the MCP355 (DDC) is not silent, although I've never tried undervolting mine.

Currently running 2 DCP-2.2 pumps in my loop, open case, can't hear em over the rad fans and they're running really quiet too. Can't speak to the other pumps but I value a quiet environment so I would have changed to something else if I weren't completely satisfied.

I'm using the Aquastream XT pump which not many recommended when I was asking, but had read it was the quietest, yet not best performing pump. I find it to be nearly inaudible when suspended. I'm a huge nitpick for noise and have a low noise floor in my house so any little noise is amplified. I consider 700RPM fans to be audible, and this pump is quieter than that when suspended with zip ties. Mounted to my case even with petras gel I found it to be 2-3x louder due to vibration. Suspension is the only way to go.
