Cable management help!

Thread Starter
So I've got my Cooler Master 430 elite case, and I like everything about it, EXCEPT for the cable management. I'm not good at it either, though, and i was wondering if there was anything that could be done to help clean up the case for those of us who don't have a modular power supply.

Any tips/suggestions would be appreciated.

This is the "best" I could think of, I did zip tie the power/reset cables and power/hdd light, but as I moved on, everything clogged up.

If it means anything, I'll be replacing the stock cooler with an h100

Wow it's messy in there.

For the SATA cables to clean them up a bit, coil them around your finger or a pen. This will reduce the length and you kinda stretch into place.

First I have a question: Why do you have the PSU with the fan upwards?
Yeesh...but yeah, you can't expect much in the way of cable management from a $50 case I guess.
But first off, absolutely flip the PSU, and then run the 4/8 pin up under the mobo tray. Same with the 24 pin, if you can get it under there. Then just let the 24 pin stick out enough to connect it to the mobo.
Sorry I'm not more help.

$50 when it's on sale = Cooler Master HAF 912 has good cable management capabilities.

Less than that = NZXT Source 210 has some half-way decent cable management.

OP Now to the subject at hand, flip the PSU so the fan is downwards then TAKE YOUR TIME and tidy up the spaghetti in there otherwise I may have to ask what sauce and or grated cheese you want with it - lol! j/k. The 4/8 pin cable can be routed better and all of this takes looking at the inside and analyzing where the placement should go and using cable ties, purchasing PSU cable extensions if necessary. Even do research on google images to get visual suggestions as well as this forum with the like chassis that some other CM Elite cases share that don't have the black painted interior but are the same with the cable management.

NO OFFENSE INTENDED FRIEND but it looks like you just slapped the interior together - you need to take more time with it and you get it to a more respectable cable management job. Mind you your case isn't the "ultimate" for cable management. If I had that chassis I'd make it look good and neat with the thoughts I already expressed.

aaahh, about the psu: it sucks, so I didn't even include it in my sig. The CPU power cable is just too short, and wont reach my cpu when I have it flipped correctly, my psu was meant to be above everything, not below (I couldn't compensate for this because i got it before everything else before I built this rig). I'll end up getting cable extenders for now.

And thanks you all for the tips, (no offense taken btw ) I'll play with all the stuff everyone suggested, I thank you all!

*haha, about the. . . Haf 912 I was planning on getting this for my next upgrade, glad to know its approved! *

Thank you all again, you're all awesome

Here's my HAF 912 for instance with my old PSU that bit the dust lol!:

I don't have recent photos but now the cable management is improved from the above interior photo. Got a 3 pin fan extension for the rear fan so now that cable almost doesn't even show anymore.

I might be passing this HAF 912 case to immediate family when I get a replacement case to go along with my already CM 690 II Advanced.
