I think my msi 790 FX GD-70 just died

So I plunked down in front of my 965 rig and hit the power button............... nothing, nada , zip , zilch - you probably get the point by now.

No lights on board at all - so i checked all the connections from the powersupply and from the case , power button , reset etc. Nothing obvious wrong. So I swapped out my powersupply for one that I am certain is good- still nothing.
Any thing I am missing or is it time to invest in a new board?

Unplug the CPU 4-pin/8-pin connector....
If it turns on, you've got a VRM failure (common with the 790FX-GD70, esp. on the x6's).

Thanks for the suggestion, I gave it a try and still no dice.
Any thing else I could try before I give up on it?

If it's not turning on when the CPU power connector is unplugged, it is either not a VRM failure or more complicated than just a VRM failure...
