Disagree on it being a "waste" especially seeing as how many users use a low sensitivity which means you'll need a large pad. Almost every large mouse pad is geared towards gaming.
Different mouse pads will change how the sensor tracks, a mouse pad is not just a mouse pad if you're a serious FPS gamer.
Also for the price you pay for that $8 Belkin pad I can get a much bigger mouse pad for for a little more.
Your mouse pad should be fine, I would only worry about it if you happen to have issues with it when you get the Deathadder. Knowing the deathadder tracks very well on cloth pads, you'll be A-Okay!Edited by dmasteR - 11/8/11 at 3:05pm
