Nope, I made it so I should know right? smile.gif

Look through it though and do some of the optimizations. Read the "Now the fun stuff! Optimization!" and the "Further Optimizations!" for sure. wink.gif

I went ahead and followed that guide and did the second part of it. I had to reinstall it cause ahci mode wasn't working unless I formatted it with that on. What's the difference with it on?

I also did the hibernation but it still has about 8gb of space I'm losing. Anyway to get that too?

You didn't need to reformat doh.gif

In the second post of my guide it has a tut on how to go from IDE mode to AHCI!

A 64GB drive = ~59.XGB

Windows takes 8-11GB with updates and my guide, I have 48/59.3GB free.

Disable Hibernation
Disable System Restore
Set static 1024mb pagefile on SSD

Done.

If you have MS Office you could also delete the MSOCache folder.

Ok i did everything and i got all my gbs back smile.gif. I was wondering, how does this effect the performance by putting the page file to 1024 min/max ?

Specs
8gb ddr3 ram
i5 2500k - overclocked to 4.2ghz

Makes no difference than if it were disabled. i have had mine disabled for years and I never had an issue either

You should try just setting it to 400MB/400MB
