and also if they just said "hey your a nub no way!" i would think more of them. it just struck me as odd they used one of the best sites around in my eyes as the scapegoat.

It's an enthusiast and OC'ing community... people look for enthusiast level components.

If you're not going to try and change people's minds then what's the point?
