Weird....11.9? I did the 11.9 driver and ccc package ... check in the bios maybe theres a option for enabling multi gpus. I don't really know what else to say... I had a 6850. Never xfired it. Went from single 6850 to 2 6950s and I just dropped em in and they worked.

Un-install 11.9 drivers and let the system reboot, download 11.10 drivers (which is not the fix but the latest) and install 11.10 again let it reboot...

After it comes up, go into CCC on the left tabs check the bottom one for software and hardware, see if it shows a "disabled adapter" if it does replace the bridge connector (the ribbon cable between the cards) after you power down, than boot up and check again and see under CCC bottom left tab if it shows both adapters, if it does than go to enable cross-fire 3 tabs up...

Hope this helps...
