Just bought AD700's... now need a gaming sound card

Thread Starter
I need to find a gaming sound card to go along with my AD700's i picked up from ComradeNF....

My budget isnt super high.... max is $100, BUT, i would like to spend as little as possible as the head set pushed my weekly allowance from my wife a bit....

Recommendations? Anyone have anything used/refurbed they want to sell or know where to look?

The two popular series of budget soundcards are the Creative X-Fi series and the ASUS Xonar series. Generally, the Xonar are favored for music while the X-Fi are favored for Gaming.

So for gaming, an X-F Titanium would be nice, or a Titanium HD if you can find a used one at a good price.

I went with a xonar stx for my ad700's and love it, but it's over your budget by another $100.
The STX is more for music enthusiasts.

What would be more suitable for you is a Titanium (a little over budget), the HT Claro or the Sound blaster Xi-fi.

I use the xonar dx, works pretty damn well for me. They're like 70 bucks right now, I believe.

Edit: Oh, forgot to say I'm using the same headphones.
