Another Bulldozer thread (I don't think it is terrible). - Page 12

Gonna throw my 2 cents in here, I don't actually own a FX-series chip but from what I've read from the forums and internet I would say AMD is doing a pretty decent job here with the Bulldozer line, there are quite a few corks for the FX line that needs fixing but also considering that AMDs current value on the NASDAQ is 1/30th of what Intels worth, they are doing a fine job.

You can have your 2 cents back. We use reality here, not smoke and mirrors.

It is an easily verified fact that the performance of Bulldozer is not significantly improved from the Phenom / Thuban lines. It is just more expensive. You can look these things up. It won't kill you.

Not entirely true, Bulldozer on some reviews do great for his price on others not so good and in other benchs they will be on par, the hype was too damn much for a new technology, we would probably see better performance of this architecture in the near future.

But then again if you were expecting the BD to kill intel (which is impossible) then dont do it bc you wont find it, nor now or never.

I question this, post some benchmarks and we will compare. I have a 5Ghz 8150, can you break 8.25 Cinebench?

I assume you mean single core? 1.25

I mean I can't think of any benchmark that chip would win in besides possibly a couple single core benchmarks. So it's just a lame comment, and this chip is 5GHz, he is saying 6Ghz.
3dmark CPU, no
Multi core PI, No
Multi core Y cruncher, no
Passmark, No
Si-Soft, No
MaxxMem, No

Post any 1090T multi-core numbers and I will beat it.

Nothing, except maybe, maybe a few single core benches.
