[Android Central] Preview: ASUS Transformer Prime ushers in the Tegra 3 - Page 2

I hope the new texture on the back of the tablet isnt one of those metallic sandpapery feel. Those are just disgusting to rub against for me. Really liked the current texture on my current Transformer.

With these improvements, those looking forward to buy the TF Prime, will definitely not be disappointed, albeit the higher pricepoint.

No USB on tablet, yes. I've never run into a situation when I needed it, per se. It just a safety precaution, I'd like on on the device at all times.

They will have a (probably) improved version with windows 8 Q3 next year I'm betting. They already showed a timeline with Windows 8 tablets at that time next year, and I don't see Asus making a tablet lineup without the Transformer brand at this point. I'm sure they'll make it better in a years time as well.

On the other hand, typical usage will probably use less power than 720p playback, so thing would probably even out (i.e. web browsing at 120 nits).

That was the rating for the brightness with their 12 hour battery. Max brightness is 600nit

Actually, 720p playback is ideal usage since it uses very little power. (That's assuming the device supports GPU acceleration, like the iPad 2.)

Mmm, I know. That's pretty low though, the iPad 2
