i know you are testing the cpu but if you oc the gpu you'll get a higher vantage. try 950/1125. you should get 16K overall.

The vantage scores were only cpu testing nothing else which you probably noticed, however overclocking my gpu is going to be the next step. I could have probably hit 14600 vantage score if I could raise my NB past 2450ish stable.

Also if anyone is wondering my H100 is setup outside of my case here is a picture. (note this was with the only 2 stock fans pushing, I currently have 4 push/pull.)

I just thought id verify that I cannot raise my NB freq any higher, just took it from x9 to x10 which is 2205 from 2450mhz with my max NB voltage and core 4 auto fails prime 95 soon as I start it.

Drop HTT to 2000MHz cos it doesn't gives you any performance , but decreases performance by 5-6%. (and droping him makes your cpu a lot more stable). Also becareful with your motherboard it's not designed for overclock. Check this out:

After updating my bio's a few days ago, my HT link no longer works on a multiplier system it works on a preset # + fsb, for example I'm running HT link @ 1.8ghz through bios and it with the fsb at 245 it totals to 2204. If I was to lower it even more it would put me at about 1980 HT link since it goes from 1.8ghz to 1.6ghz.

You'll fry your motherboard doing that...

I would like to repeat what he stated. This uses a much older VRM design that is not going to be ready, by design/amperage capability, to handle this chip at 4.4GHz 1.55V for long periods of time. It is likely that there is no protection against VRM failure on this low end board so I highly suggest that you back it down.

Mhmm, think I can get 4.4 stable? I've booted at 4.5 but it would insta crash in Prime95.

I sound stupid, but the CHV is at least 8+2 right?

@Linkin I read it was 4+1 somewhere o.O
