Overclocked my E4600 @ 2.4 to 2.7

is it normal on prime 95 for my CPU to reach 83 but not get any higher though the hole test this is on 100% CPU usage i lowed down my CPU:drink: speed for now

Get better cooling before you keep going. 83C at 2.7, you must be on the stock cooler which needs to be thrown out.

well i haven't apply ed my thermal paste in a while i might do that calling pc shop asking stock none owell i will do it soon
ps i ment e4600 well that wont make a diffrence

what do you mean? thermal paste should be fine as long as you havnt removed the heatsink.

I think he means he hasn't reapplied it in awhile so he will reapply it soon, Maybe because it has dried.

Goob job though!
But 83c is pretty high, although those little buggers can probably handle it, It is just not safe, I say anywhere near~85 and over is a no-go with intel proccys
