hey guys I'm new to ocing. I'm looking to get my q9450 to 3-3.3ghz and 1600fsb and figured that this would be a grand place to get some advice. so what do you guys suggest and what are your results? and once I get done putting my rig back together I'll share some pics thx for the help

Bradical: OC for the q9450 is easy, just depends on your mobo. I would go for at least a 3.4 on your cpu so your memory timings give you a 2:1 ratio. Runs very stable, just set your FSB to 400 and your mem to 800, and auto everything else (if you can). Started out of the box at those speeds. Now I'm up to 3.6 and 1800mhz ram, love my XFX 790i.

Should of join here much earlier. Although, still hell of an core. Running ASUS X38 + 8GB + Q9450 VID 1.2375, Seems quite stable up to 3,73Ghz (been OCing on air this one quite a while doesn't love voltages..)
