I'm glad I found this group. I thought everyone else had a fancy-schmancy Core i processor while I have a Q6600. I like my Q6600. It suits my needs.

Same here! biggrin.gif

Got a PC with a Q6600 in mid-'08. It supposedly fried in January of '10, only to find almost exactly three years later that it was the motherboard, not the CPU. It's a shame I put away a perfectly working quad-core processor for that long, without knowing it was working all along. It's even worse that I built a new machine (almost TWO) because of it supposedly frying! Oh well, glad I got it back!

Also, I must not forget; it was Lord Xeb, up there, who got me to try the CPU again. Thanks to him for messaging me!
Running it now and liking it, but I haven't gotten too much of a chance to push it real good yet. I want to load it good like I used to do! sonic.gif

Anyone still active around here? I certainly cannot be the only person running a Q6600. smile.gif
