Hey,

I just joined this forum and wanted to get some good knowledge on overclocking and such. I got a AMD 7750. My first AMD. I have been playing around with overclocking and haven't been able to find a stable frequency above the mobo's built in OC parameters - highest preset is 10%.

see you all around,

~Andrew

Just got a 7750. Messing around I got two very nice/basic stable OC configurations with stock voltage. I can deal with the hardware issues but too cheap and/or stupid to have access to a server for linking a picture for proof.

I upgraded the stock Athlon heat-sink/fan with a stock Phenom heat-sink/fan. Major improvement in cooling.

3145 Mhz

233x13.5

RAM 932 Mhz

Volts 1.325 (Normal)

HT Link was left on auto.

Using a Gigabyte MA78GM-US2H

AMD 780G

Upgraded to stock Phenom heat-sink/fan.

3100 Mhz

200x15.5

RAM 800 Mhz

Volts 1.325 (Normal)

HT Link was left on auto.

Using a Gigabyte MA78GM-US2H

AMD 780G.

Upgraded to stock Phenom heat-sink/fan.

Hi, i just got a 7750 be and am just starting the overclocking process. My motherboard puts the CPU VID at 1.325v by default. Also my memory is rated for 2.1v but my motherboard has it at 1.9v. I have the XigmaTek S1283 cooler and my temps are real low right now (no overclocking yet). I will post when i get some results....

Well i got it to overclock to 2.9ghz stable (Prime95 running for 1.5hrs).

2900mhz

200x14.5

cpu 1.325v

everything else at defaults

when i go up to 15x multiplier with all defaults 3000mhz it will blue screen after about 2 min in prime95. I tried upping the voltage on the CPU but the only way i can is with overdrive and it doesn't stay. As soon as i reboot it goes back to defaults.

MSI K9A2 CF bios v1.8

AMD 7750BE

Corsair XMS 2x2gb XMS2 8500C5

Xigmatex S1283 cpu cooler

EVGA Nvidia 9500GT PCI-e 2.0

Antec 300 case

PC Power & Cooling Silencer 610W PS

Overdrive shows my cpu temp at 17c with full load....I know that is wrong...Core Temp shows the same...If i reboot and go into the bios it shows around 27c

when I manually set the voltage on the m3n72-d motherboard, nothing seems to happen. It still is measured at 1.37 - 1.39v by Asus probe and cpu-z even though i set it to a couple settings higher than that just to make sure. after i set it manually to 1.425, i ran prime95 and still the meters read 1.36-1.39v. Anybody have and thoughts on this? thanks
