I haven't tried to boot outside the case yet, but I was wondering if anyone else has run into this problem.

I bought the MB a while ago, around January, and am just now getting around to completing the project (don't ask). I had not bought a processor yet, so I went for the X6 1090T recently. The current bios is 7577.10, but I have plans to immediately flash the bios to 7577.1C. The problem is I can't get to the bios since it won't post past 08. I get the following:

FF, c1, c3, c5, c6, 08, *reset*, FF c1, c3, c5, c6, 08, *reset*, etc. etc.

I have a PS2 keyboard plugged in that I know works, I have reset the CMOS both by switching the jumper and holding the button down, with and without the PS attached to the board. I ALWAYS get the same post sequence above.

I have read on the MSI forum people suggesting booting outside the case for posting problems. I have yet to try that, but has anyone seen this issue before? Any other suggestions?

Thanks.
