I see this too. But it makes it awkward to quickly see what threads I haven't read yet. For example, when I'm helping someone do a system diagnostic, and I see that they've posted, sometimes I intentionally don't read the thread (based on the summary shown), because I know I won't have time to properly respond to them. But when I re-access my CP, I can easily see that I haven't responded to them. Since I subscribe to a lot of rapidly updating threads, I've already seen some "helpful" threads like this get pushed to my second or third page, and I don't want to forget them.

In general, I'd really like a way to mark a thread as "unread," and then be able to see all unread threads. This way I can read a thread, but I know I still need to respond to it, I can mark it in a way that let's me easily find it.

The only way to remove them right now is to use the edit subscription link. You can use the check boxes along the left to select multiple threads on the edit page and delete them using the drop box at the bottom of the list.
Admin should make a feature request thread for this. I'd like to be able to remove them directly from the page.

I totally agree. How do we do feature requests?

One piece of advice is that subscriptions are on by default. So if you make a post you are subscribed to it automatically. You can change this though. My Profile> Edit Account Details> Email Preferences> Set new subscriptions to: [change this to the default setting you want]

Already done. That was one of the first things I noticed when digging around in the subscriptions page. The default really needs to be changed system-wide to Site Only to match the old system. I have a feeling there will be more than one angry post when people wake up to an inbox full of daily digests.

I guess start a thread? I'll PM Admin or Chipp first. They may not want to start one until people are a bit more familiar with the software so they don't clog up a requests thread with features that already exist.
