Out of the game (pun intended) for a while, what ~$125 GPU?

My system specs are in my sig - BUT. The D820 @ 4.2Ghz will be dropped soon, and replaced with an E8400 probably OC'd to 4, maybe 4.2. (The chip itself has been there and I have no doubts I will get it back, getting the E8400 for $50)

Anyway, my main goal is to play BF3 on high settings.

Budget is ~$125 or so. MAYBE a slight bit higher, and lower is always a plus.

Will be played on a 22" more than likely, right now have a 19" that just died the other night, hence the tight budget.

Looking at: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125367

GIGABYTE GV-N550OC-1GI GeForce GTX 550 Ti (Fermi)

Core Clock 970MHz /Shader Clock 1940MHz
192 Processor Cores
Memory Clock 4200MHz
Memory Size 1GB 192-bit GDDR5

Oh and I have not updated my power supply in the signature, I am running a Corsair GS600.

Suggestions? Thanks guys.

GTX 460

$130 AMIR

I wouldn't go with the 550ti, the 460 is significantly quicker for the $$. If you check around and wait for an open box, you can find a 560ti for about the same price as the 460 currently, but it does take patience.

Yeah like I said, been out of the game so long the video cards are so much more confusing now. Back in the day of my 7600GT, it was much simpler to compare.

My guess is you say the 460 would be faster because of 256bit memory?
All the gigabyte #'s are higher, except for stream processors and memory bitrate.

I really need to stay closer to $125, should have mentioned ahead of any rebates. Can't afford to wait 2 months for $25 more back. Living paycheck to paycheck, and that's with 2-3 paychecks nonexistant inbetween. (family business, have to cut where we can in this economy)

Anyway, in what ways is that 460 better? Where would I see a boost in performance? So much more confusing terms nowadays, used to just be memory type and processor speed lol!
