Multiple Mice on One Computer

I was just wondering if there were any drawbacks to doing this.

I have a Logitech G9x I use for gaming, but since I've developed RSI in my index finger from using the mouse too much, I plugged in my Trackman Marble for general use.

Nothing that I can see, other than you have to move one when you want to use the other, but otherwise you should be fine smile.gif

You should be fine, since both are Logitech products, one would hope that their drivers won't conflict, especially since they are both using Setpoint, and not the new Logitech Gaming Software (for the G400 mouse and some newer keyboards only, so far, I think). If you aren't using Setpoint, then you definitely won't have a conflict sort of problem, but you will not be able to set the mouse / trackball sensitivity independently for each device, since they share the single common Windows Pointer Speed. That's the only limitation I see anyway.

I've on many occasions had more than 1 mouse on my computer and never encountered any problem, different or same brands (for example, g9 with g500 and Razer naga and wireless combo keyboard/mouse). Only practical problem that arise is if someone entering ur room knocks over the wireless mouse (in my case) then it sends ur cursor in a different direction than u'd want.

Also u run out of usb ports pretty fast biggrin.gif

Yeah, I've had the trackball and the G9 on for a few days now, and nothing seems to be out of the ordinary. Thanks for the observations guys! I appreciate it.
