I have been running crossfire for some time now with never a moments trouble then last week i got a smoking deal on another 5850 so i bought it and installed it into my rig and now when i play BF3 it will play ok for about 1 minute then i will go from having about 185 FPS (according to the in game FPS meter) then when i start to run it will go down to 80 FPS but if i swing around fast or try to look into a scope or go in a vehicle and or consistently move the FPS will drop all the way down to 10 and ultimately bottom out a 1 to 2 and then bounce back to between 10 to 15 FPS.

Now from the research i have done thus far i am definitely not the only one that is having issues with BF3 with lag and chop with a multi-card setup but mine seems to be a really bad case as compared to other who have chop and lag but can still play.

With the current issue i am having i cant play BF3, FYI not sure if this helps if i am in MW3 not a single problem.

I know the 5000 series cards don't scale all that well in multi-card setups but can that be my issue?

I had 6 gig's of ram and after trying all the suggestions posted by other users to help with the issue and having none of them work i was suspecting that i could be having a memory shortage.

I found a smoking deal on a 24 gig kit (yes i know overkill) so i went for it and now BF3 runs smooth an can be and my frame rates are staying solid
