How to make the new OCN layout even better. - Full Width + Posts Per page + Hide Right Column + More

Thread Starter
First off, bravo on the transition OCN. A very nice theme indeed. I'm still exploring the new site and will post more tips in here as I find them.

Some must-haves that I've come across:

100 Posts Per page - Pretty self explanitory here, view 100 posts on each page instead of the default value which is too low in my opinion.

Click on Username at top right > Edit Account Details > Posts Per page Drop down located at the bottom

View Forums in Full Width - Make the width of the forums stretch to fill your screen horizontally. If you're on a 16:9 or 16:10 monitor, I can't imagine why you wouldn't check this box.

Click on Username at top right > Edit Account Details > Check the box for "view forums in full width"

Hide right column in forum threads - Use this to remove the Recent reviews and push the Tags, and currently viewing down to the right side of the quick reply box.
This one is up to you -- simply matter of preference here. I like maxing out the page width so I can see large images personally!

Click on Username at top right > Edit Account Details > Check the box for "Hide right column in forum threads"

Remove Homepage Carousel - Use this to remove the 3 scrolling image cubes at the top of the homepage. Again, up to you here - I prefer them off - but I can definitely see why you should give this one a shot for a few weeks before disabling.

Click on Username at top right > Edit Account Details > Check the box for "Remove Homepage Carousel"

Here's my personal settings:

I love 100 posts per page, it's been around since before this release though.

On the short term, I'm leaving everything on, to see what I use and what I don't. If the carousel is constantly being updated with new things, I have no problem keeping it up there... but if we're seeing the same 3-5 images rotating around for weeks on end, I'll be turning that off. I can definitely see the right side bar in threads being disabled first though, that wastes some valuable real estate.

Please give us some time with the carousel :) Don't turn it off just yet. We need some time to get our Editors in action with it!
