Our primary goal is the community's experience. That's all I really care about to be honest with you. There is no way we are going to be able to please everyone. I unfortunately have to accept this. But you can bet on the fact that we will do everything we can to take different perspectives into account. The team in the sandbox witnessed this first hand. Over two months, the site became exponentially better because of their feedback and the support of the Huddler Devs
I completely understand this, but I've had 2 sites I frequent go over major revamps, and I tried to give them a chance, but the opinions I had of both sites on the first day stuck. I still visit those same sites every once in a while and cringe at how different they look. Not that I'm against change or anything, but I don't see a need in changing something that isn't broke, unless it comes to PC hardware... you can't change hardware enough! So I'll obviously give the new site it's fair chance, and I'll keep coming back to check out any changes that come over the next few days/weeks, but as of now, I do not see myself frequenting the site even half as much as I used to. It doesn't have the same vibe and feel to me. If there are plenty of people satisfied with how things are, then so be it, I won't be the annoying person begging and demanding changes, because you cannot please everyone, there isn't a single thing in the entire universe that can please everyone.
I'm simply stating that for me, there are too many things I dislike to frequent the site anywhere near the same, and it's possible I'll rarely even come to the site anymore. This is not a threat or anything, because no single person matters that much to change a website or forum, no matter how much some angry people out there think that they matter and that making the threat to never come back will spark some huge revolution or something. I'm hoping some changes come that will make me feel better about the site, and that enough people dislike the coloring scheme to get it changed. OCN admins are pretty great for the most part (though I have issues with some), so I'm hopeful for the future.Edited by `br4dz- - 11/10/11 at 9:45pm
