So I posted this a long time ago right here on the forum and received alot of feedback. Just note..I'm MUCH MUCH better now than I was when I made this video.

Basically I use a 5 button mouse - Microsoft Intellimouse Optical plus the keyboard's numpad. This configuration I think would be far better than a 20 button mouse or an elaborate $200 custom controller for one handed gaming - many people suggest this but given my experience with this method I use and the current challenges I face in a variety of games, I can tell you with confidence that it is possibly the best solution for me.

My only potential gripe now is whether game producers will continue to allow full support for certain mice like the one I use and full customization akin to that of COD4, Elder Scrolls IV, Crysis 2, Batman Arkham Asylum, Fallout 3, Mass Effect 3 and Battlefield Bad Company 2 - games that I have played within the last few years. These games support my mouse along with full custom key bindings (at least the ones I use).

I am wondering whether games like MW3 and BF3 will support these features as I would really like to continue the enjoyable practice of gaming.

Here is an example of my key bindings:

Move Forward - RIGHT CLICK

Strafe Right - Right Thumb Button (Ambidextrous Mouse)

Strafe Left - Left Thumb Button

Lean Left - Num 5

Lean Right - Num 6

Jump - Num -

Crouch - Num+

Sprint/Steady Rifle/Hold Breath - Num Enter

Prone - Num Del

Attack/Fire/Strike - LEFT CLICK

Melee - Num 3

Grenade/Explosives - Num 2

Flashbang/Accessories - Num 1

Reload - Num 0

Air Support/Launchers/Specials - Num 8/9

So you get the general idea. You can check the video to see how it all works out. Basically I use my index finger to perform all keyboard tasks
which means I have to be very quick because once I begin to use the keyboard to sprint or jump, I can't shoot SIMULTANEOUSLY - which is not absolutely necessary because I'm fast enough to shoot after I jump or throw something, but it still makes me marginally slower than the conventional FPS gamer.

The games that I have not been able to play SO FAR? - The Witcher 2 (It does not support Numpad functions), BF3 BETA - Did not allow me to change ANY of the default key bindings.

And Gears of War only recognized one of my thumb buttons - I still played and beat it without once having to strafe right.

It's not an amazing feat to game with one hand. It's like anything else you do in life that's new to you. You get better because you adapt. You adapt because you immerse yourself and you immerse yourself because there is no other option.

I'd like to see however, game makers maintaining full customizability in their key bindings, that's all I ask.

But additionally I'd like to ask the forum for some mouse suggestions. I think I'd like to try something new, and see how it affects my game. Remember, I only have 5 usable fingers here, so a mouse with 15 buttons will do me no good. And as far as my hand goes, it's huge. So a mouse with many buttons will definitely get me in alot of trouble.

The mouse should be ambidextrous, so therefore thumb buttons on either side, much like the Razer Lachesis:

This mouse has 2 thumb buttons on each side. As opposed to the 1 thumb button on each side with my current mouse. So maybe i can bind those extra ones to leaning so i don't have to reach for the numpad anymore?

I'm sure you guys would have some useful information for me. And of course I'd love to hear from you guys on what you think about game accessibility and all the stuff I discussed here.
