I got her to 4.5 and want more!! (SCREENSHOTS)

Hey guys my build is this:

i5-2500K
ASUS P8P67-Delux
16 GB G.Skill rip jaw
GTX 570
Corsair H100

I just overclocked and got it to 4.5 ghz with:

CPU current capability : 100%
cpu volt at : 1.35
VCCSA: 1
VCCIO : 1.1
PLL VOLT: 1.9

338

Im testing prime95 now and it looks stable, with the hottest core at 60c to 63c. Wondering if you guys think i should push it further for a 24/7 stable overclock. And if so, what settings you guys think i should start with since i've heard anything higher than 4.5 requires allot of tweaking. Thanks biggrin.gif

First of all...wait a couple of hours and then ask yourself if it's still worthwhile to you. If the answer's yes then just keep bumping the multiplier and voltage, but keep in mind that h100 probably won't be sufficient for 5.0ghz+.

Actually, an H100 should be fine - on a 2500K I don't think he'd see much above 80C under full bench load. If it was a 2600K with HT on, that's a different story - I've had both and the 2600 is a good 12-14C hotter at same v with HT on.

You probably want current capability up, or it might downclock due to insufficient power allowance. Just run it at 140% (max) yes, it's red, don't let it freak you out.

PLL can actually be DOWNVOLTED a lot. Though I run mine at stock 1.8, many report using voltages as low as 1.4XX and having lowered temps as well as solid stability. On my prev Gigabyte board I was at 1.710 and fine at 4.8 on a 2500K.

So, next question is, what LLC level are you using and how does your desktop/CPUz vcore compare with what you have set in bios?

As far as stability testing, P95 for 10-12 hours is the defacto standard for SB. Lots report failures many hours in, that require increasing voltage.
