Thermaltake TP 1500W or SILVERSTONE ST1500 1500W I know its an overkill but I wanted it to be a future proof

The specs are:
Processors: Intel Core i7 2600k
MotherBoard: ASUS P8Z68 Dexlue
Ram: Corsair Vengeance 8 GB DDR3 1866 MHz
GPU: 2xASUS GeForce GTX 590
Fan controller: Aerocool V12XT??
Case: Cooler Master HAF X
Optical Drives: Asus Blu-Ray Burner
Power Supply: ????
HeatSink Fan: Crosair H100
Monitor: SAMSUNG S27A950D Black 27
SSD: Crucial 128G
HHD: 2xWD Caviar Green 1.5T

1500W is not futureproof. Newer GPU's will use even less power. I would stick with a Corsair AX1200.

Me.


Single rail can be a risk, sometimes, if your motherboard or GPU's power VRMs fail shorted. It isn't major enough to base entire purchasing decisions on though. Frankly, with that setup even an 850W is more than adequate, unless you're doing some ridiculous overclock (which you shouldn't do with GTX590s because that will *cause* the VRMs to fail).

Eh, 1500W just isn't worth it man. Consider the AX1200 and HCP-1200 and X1200.

You should get the Antec High Current Pro HCP-1200. This psu is the king of 1200 watt power supplies.
