Help a brother out. Monitor or SLI?

Hey folks.

I currently have a system that I am very happy with at the time being.

Specs are

i5 2500k @ 4.0 (can do it 4.5 if i want to)
MSI Twin Frozr III 570 Oced version
8 gb ram
Asus p8z68v-le motherboard

The only downside is that my monitor is an LCD but only has a VGA output. I am using a DVI/VGA converter to be able to connect it to my computer.

I will eventually

1-) SLI my system or if its way too tempting switch to 6xx series card though the later is unlikely

2-) Buy a 3D monitor that has 120 haz capability in 2d as well

Right now I can do ONE.

I can either get my second card or my new monitor.

Which one would you do if you were in this situation.

I was thinking of first SLIing BUT i heard that SLI does not have great advantages in 3Dvision. But in 2D its awesome. People were waiting for 6xx card for better 3Dvision results.

Than i leaned towards the monitor but than said if i play my games in 2D, would i expect a lot of difference between the monitor i have and the Asus 3d one i want to buy?

I really cant decide.

Any input will be welcomed.

Monitor. that way if you choose to upgrade the video card later it will cost less money. VGA is no good any more.

Would VGA monitor and a DVI monitor differ alot in quality?

My monitos has 70000:1 dynamic contrast but since i never used my setup in a DVI monitor i cant forsee the difference.

Though 3Dvision capabilities are always a +1.
