Eyefinty Does Not Work - Help Appreciated

Thread Starter
Hey all,

Finally have 3 monitors, all excited to run Skyrim or BF3 at 5760 x 1080. The issue is that when I start up any game, only the primary (middle) monitor works.

I am holding off starting Skryim until I have this sorted so any help would be greatly appreciated.\

Thanks in advance guys!

+rep for all help.

run through the steps or prep you have done...

Have you enabled your eyefinity group?

Once in game, have you gone to the settings and changed the resolution?

EDIT: I've heard there are some issues with skyrim with the UI with eyefinity but the folks over at WSGF are on it and there should be a fix up soon, as for BF3 there are some issues as well, atm my only issues with eyefinity at least is the UI icons over friendlies heads and sometimes my health part of my HUD disappears, but these issues will be fixed once DICE/EA push out the next patch i believe

How the monitors connected?

1. Eyefinity supports only 2 legacy devices the combination of DVI, HDMI and VGA. The third monitor must have native Display Port or and Active Adapter is needed from Display Port to DVI or D-SUB.

2. If the setup meets the above requirement, all you have to do is going to CCC to create as display group. The group of 3 or more displays into a Single Large Surface (Eyefinity).

Thanks guys, I managed to sort it. Although the severe performance hit is unplayable...do I really need 2 x 6990's to play BF3/Skyrim in Eyefinity?

Skyrim should be fine on 1/2 6950s in eyefinity if you dont mind turning off AA

Same with bf3.....

Might be.

eyefinity requires a lot, I play at 3840x800 in BF3 due to eyefinity is bugged atm with BF3.
but I play all low due to fps rates as I never like slow downs gaming.
a 4 core OC cpu and at least 6950x2 is what I advice if you want good fps.

some games are badly coded and then all kinds of things can happen.
