I really want to try MX Reds, but I've only had blue and brown Das Keyboards. I'm not saying Browns aren't good for typing, I just think typing on blues were more fun (Much louder too and clickity). But for gaming, they weren't as good for the games that I play compared to browns and that is why I made the swap. I'm pretty sure most would agree that Browns are the hybirds and they are good for everything.

You'll probably be fine with blue switches.
Most people bottom out while spamming keys in SC2 so that there isn't a significant difference between blues and browns, other than the sound. Several pro SC2 players also use cherry mx blues, so I doubt there's any considerable disadvantages.

Its probably better if you just try them. Listening to other people doesn't really help as much as you would think.

I like blue's sound myself but some people don't like it. You really near to hear the sound of the blue yourself.

Bottoming out or not isn't the issue with double tapping on blues, it's the fact that the actuation and release points aren't in the same spot, so you have to fully lift of the key before pressing it again. That being said, many people have no issue with gaming on blues, so I wouldn't let that affect your switch decision.
