Skyrim Crossfire issues? Complete list of known fix's here! 12.1a and 11.12 CAP2 links inside! - Page 18

I'm not sure what's worse. The fact we can't get a solid driver, or the fact Bethesda really gave us PC players the middle finger this time around. New vegas seemed to be fixed instantly. Sure, it was still buggy as hell but they had patches out every damn day it seemed.

Guess that's the difference between Obsidian developing vs Bethesda developing. I expect our patch this week.

Sorry to post this here, but I've been searching for days with no result..

Anyone know what would cause this in a Crossfire setup?

Forgive the picture quality, but when I try to screenshot this issue, the picture comes out clean, as if there's nothing wrong. It's quite odd.

This is on a freshly-built PC, with an A8-3850 processor (Radeon HD 6550D) CrossfireXed to an HD 6570. Fresh install of Windows, nothing but the drivers and a few games installed, default settings, High settings in Skyrim.

Also happens in Dead Island, but not in WoW in DX11 mode.

It is definitely a CrossfireX issue as turning Crossfire off resolves the problem.

I've also run the game without any issues on both the on-die GPU and the discrete GPU.

EDIT: fixed spelling of discreet to discrete

I like the fact that CatalystCreator's link *doesn't work*. Sums the situation up perfectly.

Maybe he's working for NVidia. How the hell does he not get fired?

Wondered the same thing myself.

I wouldn't. It gives 5000 series terrible performance.

Perhaps a bad card? Have you tried both separately?

I wouldn't. My crossfired 5770s didn't really like it, got an fps boost on high settings only but some glitchyness and a crash to desktop. I'm considering a clean install and 11.11a.

I have been reading this thread for a while now and I have been seeing that the 11.11b update may not be worth the install, but i was just wondering does 11.11b enable crossfire for the 4870X2's?

11.11b doesn't enable crossfire for any cards. I think it gave a slight performance boost with single card but CFX is just as bad as it was two weeks ago. I'm gonna put my cards for sale if there's no positive CFX scaling by next Sunday.

Ah alright. I seen the release notes for it and it never mentioned anything about these old cards I have.

First thing I did, before I went about getting the BIOS settings right to even ALLOW Crossfire, was test things on both the on-die and discrete GPUs. So yeah, it works fine on either separately, but not together.
