Hoping for some insight here.

I installed Skyrim last night and got to playing. First few times it crashes 3 minutes into the first video. Updated GPU drivers and I managed to get a little further... It crashed when the first dragon shows up. I'm on High quality settings with 8xAA and 8xAF @ 1920x1080. Other people don't seem to have a problem running it at this quality with similar specs.

I tried running FurMark last night. It ran the 1080 benchmark for a minute before I got nervous about the 70c temps on my GPU and closed it. This morning it won't even load up the 720 benchmark before rebooting my PC.

3DMark Vantage ran through everything fine netting me over 60fps in the GPU tests.

I'm at a loss here. Do I not have adequate cooling? Is my power supply failing? Is there software I can run to test to see if my GPU is working correctly? Or could it be my CPU? I have no idea. Any help is greatly appreciated.
