this means im going to have to lern how to overclock all over again, i saw an intel bios the other day, to many options
so what intel chips would you guys recomend, i am a bit of a power freak
oh don't worry about overclocking sandy bridge. it's too easy most people here call it boring.
just got this i7 950 about a week ago, I've been an amd guy for years so overclocking this thing was a new experience for me. too many things to adjust unlike amd just increase the multiplier, vcore voila you're done. afaik it's the same with sandybridge, just adjust the multiplier and vcore. pretty much like amd
get a 2500k. you can overclock it to 4.6-5ghz. depending on the chip.
or if you want the big bro then get a i7 2600k. you wouldn't benefit from hyper-threading though and having it on will only lower your overclock = lower performance in games. your choice Edited by jprovido - 11/11/11 at 8:51am
