Do you know why the iPad 2, which is inferior in hardware specs to Honeycomb tablets, is still the most desired and best selling tablet? It's fluid smooth-as-butter interface that glides along seamlessly without fail.
No one wants to play a FPS that jerks around ruining gameplay.

My $200 card plays BF3 smoothly just fine, and my buddy's $100 card plays it the exact same. Maybe try the game before saying it's jerky? And anyway, MW2 and Blops was WAY more jerky even with it's ugly textures, which makes ZERO sense to me. Plus at least if something is broken in BF3/BC2, DICE fixes it. Activision has released maybe 2 updates for each MW2 and Blops, they're still broken but they just move on to the next expansion to charge $60 for the same broken game.

I have a $600+ video card, and I find BF3 to be nothing but a total jitter fest even with the latest CAP.
I don't find MW2 broken at all on that note. I also don't find MW3 broken either, and it to be actually a VERY different game from MW2.

It actually looks alot better. Some of the scenes, you wouldn't believe it's CoD.

Well if you don't want to spend $700 on a graphics card you can always get BF3 on console. Either that or buy something better than both BF3 and MW3.

I agree. Though Black Ops (for PC) was fixed with patches later on (it did have major stuttering earlier); so it's smooth now. No idea about MW3.

Well then you have some other problems. Because my $200 card plays it fantasmically. & why you would spend $700 on a video card when you say pc games look the same as console games is beyond me.

also that article doesn't say it looks "a lot" anything. it says it's marginally better ON CONSOLE.

"The answer is simple: run Battlefield 3 on any reasonably powerful PC on high settings, and something wonderful happens. Not only are the visuals drastically improved, but you can play at 60 frames per second too, with no tearing. Try out Modern Warfare 3 on PC after a few rounds of Battlefield 3 in all its DirectX 11 splendour and you'll realise that the underlying Infinity Ward technology is of an age that is swiftly drawing to a close. Pared-back lighting, effects work and low-resolution textures made for machines based on vintage 2005 technology just won't cut the mustard - especially when scaled up to 1080p and beyond. "

its true cod has been the same game all over , but honestly there's a reason why people don't mind paying 60$ or even 100$.
The game is fun, even if its just some new game modes, new weapons and a couple of buildings moved around and called new maps.
A whole year of fun with my friends on xbl or pc for under $100 sounds good to me.
i wouldn't want them to change the formula, the multiplayer is great, and i'm sure 6.5mil people will do the same thing next year.

and people need to stop comparing cod with bf3. they are completely different games.

PS: i also play and love BF3 to the death!! but like i said they are completely different

mw3 is 10x better in singleplayer its not even a close race, thuo having issues playing mp at times(no worse then bf3)
AS to being different yes ofcorse they are different in many ways.
i hoped that dice would follow closely to the game that made the franchise but as most know they went in another direction with the game,i think most cod players are happy activision stayed true to the game and are still leaders not followers like bf3.

cod gets ripped for no reason by butt hurt bf players undeservingly the game is what it is and has been for a few years now.
