My AMD rig can it run Battlefield 3? - Page 3

Thread Starter
I agree Im typically a 2500k fan, but Ive had a phenom quad before and its a beastly little CPU.

To everyone in my thread thanx for trying to help but post benchmarks when bashing a product, educate everyone instead of throwing opinions around.

You can go with a GTX 580, but you'll regret it, it'll be severely bottlenecked by your Phenom.
This guy knows what's up.

My new 2500k build gets over 100 FPS (textures ultra and most stuff on high) and it never goes below 80.

Weird... Something must be off in your settings. I play on High with my 955BE at 3.8 and 6950 (6970 clocks) and rarely if ever go below 55-60fps at 1080p.

new GFX card and 4GB more ram then just overclock your current CPU and you'll be fine.

Obviously, you're "completely wrong", and nothing more than an "ignorant". wink.gif

I wonder where Naizarak and Thryack disappeared off to?

I'll see if I can play/test it and put up the results later tonight.

i run it on a weaker system with 1680x1050 res on ultra with msaa off, aa off, af off and the game plays just fine with 45-60 fps and looks great and is smooth. i think you will do just fine with that setup as you will have a better vid card and ram than i do..

When you switch back to the 6950 after finding out the 560Ti is slower can I have it? tongue.gif

^lol

I actually switched from it and there was no big diff. 6950 to 560ti is like side stepping.
