First time Overclocking, Need some help ! :)

Hey everyone, i've just started getting into building my own pc upgrading it and such, and i think my system is capable of overclocking , Heres my hardware....

Intel i7 860 @ 2.8 GHz 2.8 GHz
Corsair vengence 16gb ddr3 ram
2 GTX 560 ti's
Asus P7P55D-E PRO Mobo
Akasa AK-CC4008HP01 Venom Voodoo CPU Cooler 1007215
Also a Corsair TX750w Psu

Would really like to know if i can overclock my system while keeping my system stable, as ive never tried overclocking before, or how to do it through software or bios or......you know! Would really appreciate your feedback, thank you! smile.gif

you can easily take that beast above 3 to 3.3 GHz. i do not hace i7 but a friend of mine does.
he has it overcloked to 3.6 GHz with cooler master v8. stable. thumb.gif

Really appreciate your feedback, I had a look at the post you linked and tried to oc but I couldn't get the right vOltages etc, any chance I could ask someone to check them for me ? Sorry my first time oc'n really don't want to mess anything up appreciated!

take a screen shot of your bios settings and post them here or if you have a program runnin on your windows, screen shot and post it here. you'll be amazed how fast every one will jump in to help ^.^
