update: Just made the jump to 2500k & Z68.... in a word, amazing.
Sabertooth is a great board, its just my 955 is to old, it was c2 stepping, could hardly keep it stable at 3.7ghz, and my 1866 ram won't work cause the memory controller can't handle the speed....
all in all I probably spend $120ish for this upgrade, sold my phenom II and 990fx, for $230, I picked up the 2500k & p8z68-v gen3, for $357 total at microcenter, they had a deal -- if you buy the cpu there, you get $50-60 off any motherboard you buy with it, and the cpu it self is $179
just jumped on BF3, and what you notice right away is minimum frame rate is way better, game never dips below 60, on my 955 i'd get into the low 50's sometimes... its noticeable, highly recommended to jump on the sandy bridge, even moreso if you have dual GPU setup like me
