570 Issues

Thread Starter
I have been having a few issues with my 570:
Bad artifacting in games/messed up textures
Drivers crash a lot (with games it isn't to bad but if I open a stream its guaranteed to happen in less then 5 minutes)
Sometimes drivers crash and everything just locks up
Was curious so I tried running FurMark, it instantly causes my computer to restart

Not sure if this is just a defective card or insufficient power (PSU is a 600W). Any insight would be much appreciated.

What kind of psu is it? The quality of a power supply is more important than the rating.

Secondly, is your cpu overclocked? Is this a new build? When did this start happening? Have you tried stress testing your cpu?

A little Intel Burn Test with maximum memory usage wouldn't be a bad idea.

My PSU is this one to be exact: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817341001
Old build, new video card (in the process of upgrading). CPU is stock (E8400).
It stared off fine but then the artifacting and driver crashes getting very frequent.
I will do the burn test later, as I don't have time at the moment.
Thanks for the help so far!

How long did it work for? I've had three die so far with crazy artifacting and texture flickering.

I have had the card for about 10 months and the artifacting started out not long after having it. Since then the textures have been messing up more frequently and the driver crashes has increased a lot.

Did the Intel burn test and that was successful.

Its probably the video card. I would just send it in for an RMA.

I forgot, do you leave your pc on 24/7? If so does a restart fix this problem? If so thats a very common issue with GTX570.

It has been perfectly fine since I posted this so, I don't know.
If anything I'll probably just RMA it if it starts to act up again.
Thanks all for the help!

The 570 / 580 / 590 dont like fumark or OCCT. Something to do with NVidia's power draw limiter.

You could try Heaven or 3dMark11 to stress.

Your PSU should be okay.

What drivers are you using?

Your Vram may be over heating... no way to tell though. Is your case well ventilated?

What game did it happen in? Artifacts happens when the ram is filled normally. Downclock the ram a bit
