[CVG] Zelda: Skyward Sword review scores sneak out - Page 7

So yeah... I just ordered a wiimote plus and sensor so I can play this game on Dolphin. I think this is the first time Nintendo has gotten any money out of me in years... Maybe since I bought my DS Lite(which I mostly bought for the Castlevania games).

Hope this is as epic as WindWaker; time to dust off the Wii that's been sitting somewhere in the house lol

No way! Wind Waker was so freaking incredible. But I was also like 13 when I played Wind Waker and 18 when I played Twilight Princess, but I don't know if that really would affect it.

I didn't mind Twilight Princess, but it's still pretty low on the list of Zelda (even the worst Zelda is still a darn good game; CD-i never happened). I didn't like the darker tone and it felt like it was trying too hard to become the next Ocarina of Time. I loved its level design (Ordona, Faron and Eldin provinces and Lake Hylia were awesome) and Midna was also the best "helper" character in the whole series, followed closely by The King of Red Lions.

The Wind Waker is still my favorite though, as evident by my Wind Waker case mod (just ignore the actual case itself tongue.gif).

im at the first temple, takes a little to get used to the wii controlls for a zelda game imo this type of game should be with a standard control but somethings are cool like how you can control what kind of slice you do and btw since when is link right handed?......

excuse the noobness since i got twilight princess on Gamecube cause i wanted to use a standard controller

Excused, don't worry. The first time I played through TP it was on the Wii, but I did the second playthrough on Dolphin for GC because I felt it deserved AA and a higher resolution.
Link is right handed in both the Wii version of TP and in Skyward Sword because they want the controls to be mirrored (I guess it's only an issue if you're left handed, but it might have an option to change it).

Since Nintendo decided that controlling a characters left hand with the player's right hand would be awkward and unintuitive.
