None of the logitech gX will work for you. They are super tiny. Don't believe any review that describes them all palmers. IME 3.0, DA, EC1, Naos 5000 are the only mice I know of that might be comfortable. They all got different issues though, but it's a good place to start.

the Microsoft Sidewinder series are really large mice and might work for you

I have larger than average sized hands and the MX518 has been the most comfortable one I've found.

The Sidewinder X8 is pretty good too...I use that for my main machine now. The cordless capability is nice when I want it, but I never use it when at the desk. Really it seems to double more as a AA batery charger than a cordless mouse. My only complaint is the mouse wheel has made me get a callus on my index finger...not too big of a deal though. I'd buy it again.

I agree the Sidewinder X8 would be a great choice though if your like me and would prefer proper pinky and thumb support how about looking into the Mionix Naos 3200 or 5000 that's the mouse I'm getting to replace my Sidewinder and I've heard it's a great mouse.

But seriously, the DA is a pretty good size imo, would probably work for you.

MX518 is superseded by the G400 no? Or is the G400 worse than what it is supposed to replace?

Naos 3200 was my original choice but I heard the LOD is reaaally bad. I have no idea if that would be an issue for me though, and I have no way to try it unless I buy it :/

I have another question:

What makes a good mousepad, is there anything I should look for?

It depends on your preferences.

1. Do you need/prefer a large or smaller surface?
2. Do you want much or little support for your wrist, or do you prefer that it is as close to the table as possible?
3. Do you want high or low friction (resistance, how smoothly the mouse drags across the surface)
4. Do you expect to change mousepads frequently (ie. every 3-6 months during intensive use), or do you expect it to last longer?

These are some of the basic questions you need to ask yourself before you even start to look for a mousepad.
