I know turtle beaches had problems with the wireless setup, people complained about static all the time. If you can I'd stick to wired headsets.

Also I think Astros are the best ones out there but they're a little more expensive.

Go with the triton AX 720's. Way better build quality than the TB's and they sound AMAZING.

That's what I use. Bought them because I can use them on PC and Xbox and they sound great. All I hear in xbox party chat is my friends complaining about their Turtle Beaches barely working thumb.gif

What me and my cousin do, as well as a few of my friends that I've converted is, you buy a headphone, then put the stock 360 headset on top of that. You just need an RCA to 3.5mm adapter for $3 on Amazon or if you use HDMI, the RCA Audio Cable Adapter for XBOX 360 + Slim ($4 shipped on Amazon).

Then for audio control if you don't have anything for it, the FiiO E5 for $18 new.

Check my sig for headphones.

Depends on what sound quality you're going for. Unless it says, most headsets are simulated stereo. Which isn't be quality, but if you're a hardcore gamer, you're not going to want those. I had the x11's. Probably o e of the most stable TB's available. I r had it a couple years, well my little brother has it now. I had the MW3 Foxtrot set... yeah.. next.
I'm prolly gonna get the X41's next week. Another great model. Stable, true Dolby Digital Surround.

I've also had a tritton ax720. There good, but there are so many cords. But it feels so stable, sound quality is great. All in all, I just stick to the TB's, because I'm a fan lol. Hope this helps.

If you're a quality junky, go wired hands down. If you're okay with a few skips every now and then if you're far away, if you're close you won't have trouble or static, just keep your receiver 10+ feet from any wireless routers...I have TB x31's and I wouldn't trade them for anything except x41's maybe. I'll never own another wired headset, they require 1 cable, chat cable, from headset to controller if you want to chat with friends online, other than than, if you just want to listen to your tv with your xbox off via dish network / cable / directtv / etc / etc, you'll be able to do so even with your xbox off, your transmitter will always get power even with the xbox powered off as long as it's plugged in. Whatever source you have active on your tv will stream to your headset, it's lovely imo.
