help overclocking xfx 4890

ive been using msi afterburner, and furmark. slowly raising core clock and memory clock. but i noticed while having gpu-z open that im not running at the clocks that i set. for core clock and mem clock i set it to show max and it says only 500mhz and 975mhz

Download and install latest MSI Afterburner 2.2.0 Beta 8 and do the unlocking for voltage and overclocking control. http://forums.guru3d.com/showthread.php?t=338906

 

Other than that you need to click "apply" in Afterburner for the changes you made to take effect.

 

Also, you have to play games or run Benchmark to see the 3D clocks instead of 2D idle clocks.
