Could use some help disabling the smart pad on my new laptop.

Thread Starter
Basically I'm on a work trip and thought I could go two weeks without any Counter Strike, but I was wrong. So I did the only logical thing and went to Best Buy and picked up my first laptop and a half decent mouse to game with in the hotel. Unfortunately When ever I play sometimes my thumb just naturally rests on the smart pad causing my cross hair to move or even to fire and I can't for the life of me find out how to disable it. I go into the device manager, right click on the smart pad go into properties and there is a disable button, however it is grey'd out and I can't disable it. There also is what appears to be a hotkey on my function keys and one appears to look like it would disable it (it is a little square with to little triangles at the bottom, resembling the smart pad). For some reason though it is the only hot key, that when I hold the 'fn' keyand press that function key, does nothing. all the others, the volume, the mute, and display hotkeys work, but this one does nothing. Even when I have my mouse plugged in.

This is the laptop I picked up if it helps, http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Asus+-+Laptop+/+Intel%26%23174%3B+Core%26%23153%3B+i5+Processor+/+15.6%26%2334%3B+Display+/+6GB+Memory+-+Aluminum+Lake+Blue+Hairline/3411128.p?id=1218399206867&skuId=3411128

If anyone could help I would really appreciate it. It is super annoying while I;m playing and all of a sudden my screen starts to bounce up and down, haha.

EDIT: Figured it out. You have to use the Hotkey while in game. feel kind of ridiculous now, but whatever, haha.
