Thanks. I think we should have members stick with 12 items in their sig rig as well to make it look better. If anyone else learns some new tips to make this forum look good again, then post here. Doubt they will give it a sticky, but we can bump it for a while.

I just choose to collapse the Signature... I don't care what other people have as their rigs unless I am trying to troubleshoot something lol

Maybe I am the only one though smile.gif

You're not the only one obviously, but I like seeing sig rigs. I'd say it is the main component of this site that makes it stand out from the rest. Sadly, you are missing it now. When non-members are just lurking, there is nothing to draw their eye anymore. Sure they can click, but nobody clicks. I rarely clicked to see what somebody's "other" rigs were, why would I click now to see what their main rig is?

The point of having sig rigs is not just so you can help troubleshoot a problem. The point of the sig rigs is also to help keep everyone as current as possible and excited about technology. Not in that everyone must have the latest gear, but everyone might KNOW what the latest gear is. I don't visit the Nvidia GPU section everyday, but if I see in someone's sig that they have a GTX 680 (I realize it's not out yet), then I will be more apt to go investigate that card. If I'm a newbie rocking my Athlon 64 X2 chip and I'm lucky enough to come across this site, I say to myself, "Wow, look at this entire world of cool stuff I never knew about! This guy has a 10 core processor and I didn't even know they existed. I'm going to pee my pants!!!"

I think sig rigs are an integral part of this site that has been changed for the worse. Just my opinion though. We can go on talking again about Skyrim, BF3, or whatever else the flavor of the month is now. Who needs the gear? We can all just get thin clients and still go on this forum, right?

I agree that there is another side to it all (one which I am not interested in). I am not saying that you should just suck it up, I think that a character limit should be placed. Not sure if you have seen Blitz's signature, I think that his main rig has something like 53 items... Makes for one huge signature lol

Have you made a thread about this? Might get more light on it's own, rather than in here.

Looks awesome now, but still not quite there. Seriously admin, please give us an option to switch back to the old OCN, or at least have an "OCN Classic" theme.
