Just to add to OP:

For Chrome, you will find the AdBlock icon next to the Option icon (top right hand corner). Click on the AdBlock icon and select "options". This will open a new tab in your browser, select the "Customize" tab and select "Hide a section of a webpage" link right under "Block more ads:".

Then insert the following for the fields listed below:

Domain of page to apply on: overclock.net

CSS to match: DIV[id="sidebar"]

Select "Block it!" smile.gif

There you have it, this should remove the side bar for you!
