Are These Temps/Fan Speeds Normal?

Hey guys.

I've been using MSI Afterburner to record my GPU temperature, usage, fan speed and FPS while I play games like BF3 and Skyrim, and as I am quite a novice when it comes to this I thought I would ask you much more experienced gamers about the temps/fan speeds etc.

I have an XFX 6870 GPU, and my average temperature when gaming is 75-80 degrees celsius, idle it is 40-50, my fan speed is 75-85% usage when gaming and 10-20ish when idle. My specs are below:

PSU: OCZ stealth xstream 2 600W.
CPU: Amd Phenom x2 1035T
6GB RAM
Motherboard: Foxconn model number 2AA9 (I know very little about motherboards)
(I have not overclocked anything)

So my question is, are these temps/fan speeds normal or should I be worried and use MSI Afterburner to adjust something? please let me know what you recommend. Thanks in advance smile.gifthumb.gif

Oh yeah incase you need to know what case I have, I have a basic HP Pavillion case (I upgraded my computer shortly after purchase).

Next time use edit button.

For non-reference card running at 70-80% fan speed on load is normal.

For reference card is 45-50% fan speed on load is normal with those temperature. It will spin up 50%+ if it hits 90'C.

I will use the edit button next time, sorry about that.

What is a reference card? and my card is at 70-85% fan speed when gaming, it stays at 80% when playing newer games like BF3/Skyrim, is this too high?

Edit: typo
