Microsoft ergonomic mouse 7000 problems

So I have the microsoft ergonomic mouse 7000 and just lately it is going crazy, in the sense that wheni single click, it double clicks itself, hence making my pc usuage miserable!

can someone please help me?

I had the same problem with my old Microsoft 7000 mouse. Did some research and found it to be the cheap micro switches used. Most of them have a lifespan of 400000 clicks but the cheap version can last around 100000 and sometimes even less.

If you are any good with a soldering iron you can buy a micro switch from somewhere like Mouser or Future Electronics and dismantle the 7000.

I ended up buying the DXT Ergonomic mouse from City Ergonomics which was better then the 7000.thumb.gif

hi, tnx for your reply.

Yeah in fact it is very annoying, but i am not that keen in opening the mouse and replace part of it as am not that technical about it.

Bet the best bet is to just buy another mouse. would be much easier then!
