120hz. It works with nvidia 3d vision. I do not know if it works with the AMD equivalent. It will also allow for up to 120fps as opposed to the normal 60 for most monitors.

yeah, I know what 120 Hz means. Is that the only difference to a 60Hz monitor?

Pretty much. Games "feel" smoother when over 60 frames. I've heard that people with below average eye sight can't tell the difference, but with average and better vision you can. I didn't really care for 3d once the novelty wore off. I enjoyed using the monitor in 2d 120hz over 3d at 60hz.

Hmmm, I'm considering this... do you have any feedback on how games look when the framerate is varying between 80-120fps? I can't peg any game at 120, but I do consistently get over 60. I guess I'm wondering if it's worth it with a very good, albeit inconsistent framerate.

The games are more fluid. There is no lag at all and stays clear when moving fast.
