Gigabyte GTX 460 1GBs - Page 2

I honestly don't know why people are pricing that so low when 5850s (which are only slightly faster than 460s) are going for like $150! confused.gif

My appraisal: $90 for the broken fan card. $100 for the perfect card.

+ shipping.

"i wouldnt pay more than 100 a piece with working stock cooler. MAYBE 110"

I agree... I bought my gtx 460 1gb for $70. I insisted to the seller that I would not even consider it if he wanted over $75 for this card.

New MSI GTX 460 1GB Hawks were on sale for $100AR or $110AR. One may also believe that the cards were mistreated b/c of the physical damage on the stock cooler.

I had a Accelero cooler before and I can say it's an awesome VGA cooler. However, one can argue that GTX 460's run VERY cool already compared to the GTX 465, GTX 470, and GTX 480. The max I would pay for a used one is $30 shipped.

The NCIX deal on the hawk is over so I'd price the GTX 460s...

1) with the Acceleros for $130
2) with broken stock cooler $80 (People don't want a broken cooler)
3) with working stock cooler $100

I also bought a NEW GTX 460 1GB 700/1850 for 100 AR (shipped). The market is soft on the entry level GTX. I'm going to pick up a second one for SLI eventually.

100$ for the one with the broken fan and 120$ for the other one both including shipping.

I don't know what you guys are thinking, talking about sub-100 bucks for a 1GB 460. Cheapest one I've found on the egg has been 120, that's after rebate and it's a zotac card, the average price after rebates is 150 bucks, before rebates is closer to 160, these cards are not going "on the cheap", and 80 bucks for a 460 should be considered a great steal. Sure you can't spin the broken fan up to 100%, but the 460s are so freaking cool anyway i rarely ramp my fan up above 50%, still don't see 50C+.

@OP, obviously it's your decision, but I would seriously consider starting at the higher end, and working down a bit if need be. 460s are still very popular and their price hasn't come down much, I really think 120-130 w/o the cooler is a pretty good deal for these, and 150-160 w/ the cooler would be a good deal as well.
