Best mechanical keyboard for around $150

what do you guys think the best mechanical keyboard would be for around $150?

If you can wait until around Christmas, that's around the time I heard the Ducky Shine will get its first shipment (blue backlit, cherry mx blues, NKRO, you name it). That's the next keyboard I want for sure.

However, you have many options if you don't want to wait. There's Das, Steelseries, Rosewill, you name it. What are you preferences as far as mechanical keyboard goes?

Any specific switch type, do you want it backlit, do you not like glossiness, etc.

Ducky Shine is already available from a US retailer (Tiger Imports):

Comes in blue, black, and brown switches.

I believe the version I was speaking of was the OCN version then. Thanks for clarifying that, though. Did not know that smile.gif

Filco Majestouch 2's are very well made keyboards. They are a dream to type on.

i want a keyboard that is blue led back lit and is black. the ducky shine looks good but which one is the best (Cherry MX Brown,Cherry MX Blue, or Cherry MX Black)?

Like women, preference in switches are different for everybody.

I'm a fan of blue and brown. Blacks are too heavy and feel mushy. Reds are too light.

Yeah, I didn't like Reds either. I like Browns though and I want to try out Clears.

Check out WASD Keyboards.

They produce some really good stuff I've heard.
