Looking to buy a new laptop

Leaning hard toward Asus at the moment, don't have a large amount of money to spend, don't want recert. Prefer 15.6 or larger screen, i5 or i7, getting this laptop for gaming at work, on trips, and to last for a while. Been working with the same dell inspiron e1505 for the last 6 years, definitely time for an upgrade. Have a pretty solid gaming rig at home, which is why i've been able to survive with this laptop for so long. Definitely looking to keep it under $1000, prefer under $800. Any input i would greatly appreciate and will take all advice into consideration, Thanks in advance all!

You should browse websites like slickdeals.net, and sign up for Newegg's weekly newsletter. With Black Friday and Cyber Monday coming up soon, you'd be foolish not to wait

4 months ago I was able to get a 15" HP dv6t select edition laptop with an i5-2410M, 6 GB RAM, AMD 6770M, BD-ROM drive, multimedia card reader, fingerprint scanner, and a free Xbox 360 (Microsoft promotion) for $798. Once I sell the 360 the net cost I'm looking at is ~$650.

I would look at Sager Notebooks. They are priced very well and have excellent customer service

Personally being biased towards Toshiba.

You could get a 17.3” Qosmio X770 with i5 and 560M right now listed for $1050…but I’m sure you could find a better deal next week.
