Best cheap joystick for Battlefield 3? - Page 2

I just bought the Thrustmaster T.16000M for £35 which arrived today, haven't used it yet though so I can't comment but check out all the online reviews, they all say it is brilliant for it's price.

I have almost the same joystick as you do. Got mine for 20 bucks at Hastings but however, how in the world are you controlling the jets? I can fly but the rolling is the problem on my joystick. I just cannot get it to work right on my joystick. I'm better off with the keyboard and mouse. Unfortunately still doesn't explain why some pilots are gaining good tail chasing on me and locking me everytime. Either it's a hacker or he has a good controller or joystick. I have no idea if controllers are better rofl.

If you're having problems with the joystick configurations, try this guide. And I really don't see how hacks can make you better in a jet if he is locking on to you. It's really all in the pilot, I use the keyboard only and I am on my second jet service star. The trick is to know when to launch flares and if you get shot down, land the jet and repair it. thumb.gif

well i would not recommend the Logitech attack 3

we got them for FRC and they seemed very low quality and they dont allow you to twist, i think that would be normally said as they're only 2 axis joysticks but idk

Just used the Thrustmaster T16000M in a BF3 empty server and practiced some flying and it's pretty great. From my first short time with it and first experience with a joystick I'd recommend it.

I tried flying with a 360 controller yesterday, and it felt pretty awkward. I did look up joysticks for an hour too, and there seems to be a real lack of talk about using joysticks w/ BF3. And then reviews on Amazon kept citing general compatibility issues no matter what model.

So I'll be keeping a close eye on this thread. Thanks for making it. smile.gif

EDIT: Just bought the Logitech one mentioned at the start of the thread, off of eBay.

Thread Starter
need to bump this thread!

Basically I can get the Logitech Attack 3 Joystick for £25 Or

Logitech Extreme 3D Pro Twist Joystick for £25 second hand

What you guys recommend, should I buy brand new and get the attack 3, or go second hand and get the 3d pro version?

Dont use the attack 3. Its terrible in bf3. I got it to work perfect but it just doesnt fly good.
